NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION

The Provo City Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers of the Provo City Center, located at 351 West Center Street. The items listed below will be discussed, and anyone interested is invited to attend and provide comment. Preceding the public hearing, a briefing will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Development Conference Room, located at 330 West 100 South. The briefing is open to the public; however, formal presentation of items, public comment and actions will be reserved for the public hearing at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers. ITEM 1*           Harry McCoard, Provo Bay Neighborhood Chair, requests a text amendment to Provo City Code 14.37.080 to modify the front yard parking exception to apply to a greater range of residences throughout the City. City Wide Impact, 15-0003OA, Austin Corry, 801-852-6413

ITEM 2*           The Provo City Community Development Department requests an Ordinance Amendment to Provo City Code Sections 14.23.020(7), 14.14A.040, 14.14B.040, 14.14C.040, and 14.14E.040, in order to clarify language regarding permitted uses and prior created lots. ITEM 3*           Municipal Council initiated proposal to annex the Tony Brown property located at approximately 5050 N Canyon Road and consisting of about 3.15 acres. North Timpview Neighborhood, 15-0003A, Brian Maxfield, 801-852-6429

ITEM 4*           ***CONTINUED*** The Public Works Department requests the de-annexation of .54 acres of property within the 2000 North Street right-of-way, at 2800 West. Lakeview North Neighborhood, 15-0002A, Dustin Wright, 801-852-6414

ITEM 5*           Michael Lamont requests an Ordinance Amendment to Provo City Code Section 14.34.350 (Recreational Vehicle Storage and Towing Impound Yards), in order to strike language requiring such use to be located on an arterial or collector street. Decisions on the unmarked items may be appealed to the Board of Adjustment by making application with the Community Development Department by 6:00 p.m. within 14 days of the Planning Commission decision.

Copies of the agenda materials, public hearing procedure, and staff recommendations are available the week of the hearing at reasonable cost in the Community Development office between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Agendas and staff recommendations are also generally available on the Provo City Community Development website the week of the meeting at provo.org/planningcommission.
